This position offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced paralegal to contribute to civil litigation and probate matters while maintaining work-life balance. Duties:
Prepare and draft legal documents including pleadings, discovery requests, and correspondence with precision and clarity. Docket court hearings and deadlines. Assist attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, depositions, and mediation by organizing case files and exhibits. Conduct legal research and gather relevant information to support ongoing cases. Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests. Manage case calendars, deadlines, and schedules to ensure timely filings and compliance with court rules. Organize and maintain case files, both physical and electronic. Manage document production and e-discovery processes. Communicate effectively with clients, witnesses, opposing counsel, and court personnel via phone and email. Assist in preparing reports for trial or settlement negotiations by summarizing case facts and compiling relevant evidence. Experience Paralegal experience or equivalent legal support experience in a busy law office environment is required. Proven knowledge of procedural law across different practice areas such as estate planning, estate administration, probate litigation, and civil litigation. Strong research skills utilizing LexisNexis and Westlaw to gather pertinent legal information efficiently. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information responsibly with professionalism. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and Adobe Acrobat for drafting documents and preparing reports; experience with transcription and proofreading is a plus. Effective communication skills for client interaction via phone or written correspondence; ability to maintain professional etiquette at all times. Knowledge of legal writing techniques combined with strong proofreading skills ensures accuracy in all documentation produced or reviewed.
