Job Description

Job Summary We are a small, two attorney law firm handling cases in the areas of family law, general civil litigation, estate planning and probate. We are seeking a friendly, professional and detail-oriented Receptionist/Legal Assistant to join our busy team. This is a position for someone who loves helping people and takes pride in keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be the first point of contact for clients and visitors while providing essential administrative support to attorneys across. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional organizational skills and a proactive attitude to help streamline office operations. Responsibilities Managing all incoming calls, screen potential new clients, check for conflicts of interest, schedule new client appointments Greet clients, visitors, and vendors with professionalism and courtesy Maintain a welcoming reception area Assist attorneys with legal administrative tasks including drafting legal documents and correspondence, copying, scanning Filing pleadings with clerk's office and deliver documents to the Register of Deeds Mailings, postage and post office runs Miscellaneous administrative tasks that arise in a busy law office Requirements Prior experience as a receptionist in a law office or legal assistant is highly preferred. Comfortable with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook Proficiency in legal case management software like MyCase is a plus. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently under tight deadlines. Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information discreetly while maintaining professionalism at all times.
