Job Description

An in-house paralegal in the industrial manufacturing industry supports by managing product liability risks, supply chain contracts and intellectual property portfolios. They collaborate closely with procurement, engineering, and plant management to keep manufacturing facilities running legally and safely.
Supply Chain & Procurement Contracts:
Draft, review, and negotiate high-volume vendor agreements, raw material supply contracts, purchase orders, equipment leases, and logistics agreements.
Product Liability & Claims Management:
Coordinate the collection of evidence, internal technical data, and maintenance records for product liability lawsuits or workplace injury claims. Intellectual Property (IP)
Maintenance:
Manage the docketing, tracking, and renewal filings for manufacturing patents, trade secrets, and industrial designs.
Outside Counsel Liaison:
Gather discovery documents and organize engineering specifications to support external law firms handling complex industrial litigation.
Global Trade & Customs Compliance:
Assist in tracking compliance with import/export regulations, customs documentation, and international trade tariffs.
Key Skills & Qualifications Industry Experience:
A bachelor's degree or ABA-approved paralegal certificate, with 3-5+ years of legal experience, ideally inside a manufacturing company or a law firm's industrial practice group.
Technical Aptitude:
Ability to read and understand technical manuals, engineering schematics, and supply chain workflows to contextualize legal risks. •Physical, HPE, Drug Test and Background Check are required for employment Vinton Steel is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
