We are seeking an experienced paralegal who can contribute immediately to a busy practice handling sophisticated agreements, estate planning, and probate matters. This is not an entry-level position. We are looking for a seasoned professional with substantial law firm experience who is comfortable managing multiple matters simultaneously, interacting directly with clients, preparing legal documents, and supporting attorneys with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, exercises excellent professional judgment, and takes ownership of assigned matters from start to finish. Experience in estate planning and probate is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities Responsibilities may include:
Drafting estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, directives, deeds, and related documents. Preparing probate pleadings, applications, notices, inventories, and other court filings. Drafting business and real estate transaction documents. Assisting attorneys with trust administration matters and business entity formations. Maintaining case files and tracking deadlines. Communicating professionally with clients, courts, financial institutions, and other third parties. Coordinating document execution appointments and follow-up matters. Managing multiple projects while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. Supporting attorneys with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment. Qualifications The successful candidate should possess: At least five (5) years of substantive paralegal experience in a law firm environment. Demonstrated experience drafting legal documents and managing legal matters. Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills. Ability to work independently and prioritize competing deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, and legal practice management software. Professional demeanor, sound judgment, and commitment to client service. Preferred Qualifications Estate planning, probate, or trust administration experience. Experience preparing Texas probate filings and estate planning documents. Familiarity with business entity formations and related filings. Associate degree, bachelor's degree, paralegal certificate, or equivalent combination of education and significant legal experience.
