Our practice is dedicated to helping clients navigate complex immigration matters, including family-based petitions, adjustment of status, naturalization, waivers, consular processing, and removal defense. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Immigration Legal Assistant who is passionate about helping others and wants to grow within a fast-paced and rewarding legal environment.
  • Responsibilities
  • Assist attorney with immigration cases.
  • Prepare and organize immigration forms and applications, including family-based petitions, adjustment of status applications, naturalization applications, work permits, and other immigration filings.
  • Communicate with clients regarding case updates and document requests.
  • Coordinate appointments, including court dates and client meetings.
  • Collect, review, and organize supporting documentation.
  • Maintain electronic and physical case files.
  • Draft correspondence, affidavits, and client communications.
  • Track filing deadlines and case progress.
  • When needed, schedule appointments, manage attorney calendar, answer incoming phone calls and assist walk-in clients.
  • Qualifications
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (required).
  • Previous experience in deportation and asylum preferred but not required.
  • Familiarity with immigration law procedures
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Professional demeanor and strong customer service skills.
  • Preferred Experience
  • Experience with USCIS forms and procedures.
  • Experience working in a law office.
  • Experience with family-based petitions, adjustment of status, naturalization, waivers, consular processing, and removal defense.
