Job Description
Small Veterans Law practice seeks Paralegal Qualified candidates must have at least 2+ years of law firm experience as a paralegal.
Essential Responsibilities:
- File organization, e-filing, managing a heavy caseload
- Detailed preparation of legal documents and legal research
- Prepare appellate briefs and motions, cite checking
- Schedule meetings and follow up, calendaring, responding and managing emails, answering incoming calls, filing, copying
- Ability to plan and organize the day to meet claims agent needs
Competencies:
- Candidate must work well independently and be very organized and efficient
- Ability to multi-task efficiently
- Ability to proofread for grammatical, typographical and/or spelling errors
- Ability to communicate effectively (both orally and in writing), grasp information quickly, make sound decisions, and possess strong technological skills
Software Knowledge:
- Proficient in MS Office.
