In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for clients and stakeholders, efficiently gathering essential information to facilitate smooth case processing. Your expertise in legal administrative procedures, research, and document management will ensure that cases are accurately initiated and organized. Duties Conduct thorough client interviews to collect relevant case information, ensuring clarity and completeness Manage incoming calls with professionalism, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and organizational skills Prepare and review legal documents, contracts, and correspondence with precision, including proofreading and transcription tasks Utilize legal case management systems such as PCLaw, iManage, Westlaw, and LexisNexis for research and document review purposes Assist in the organization and filing of legal files, maintaining meticulous records in compliance with firm policies Support attorneys with project management tasks related to litigation, estate planning, family law, or other practice areas Perform data entry and document management duties to streamline workflow and enhance case tracking efficiency Experience Prior paralegal experience or legal administrative experience is highly preferred Demonstrated ability in conducting legal research using Westlaw or LexisNexis across various practice areas including environmental law, tribal law & regulations, securities law, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, patent law, UCC law, landlord-tenant law, immigration law, and family law Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment Excellent writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence with attention to detail Proven experience in interviewing clients or witnesses effectively and professionally Familiarity with legal case management software such as PCLaw or document management systems like iManage is advantageous Knowledge of legal procedures related to contracts, litigation processes, or estate planning enhances your effectiveness in this role Ability to perform detailed proofreading and transcription tasks accurately while maintaining confidentiality Join us as an Intake Specialist and become an integral part of a dedicated team committed to delivering exceptional legal support.
