Full-Time Position Overview Our growing family law firm is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented paralegal to support attorneys in all aspects of family law matters, including divorce, child custody, child support, modifications, enforcement actions, adoptions, and protective orders. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and a commitment to providing compassionate service to clients during challenging times. Key Responsibilities Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery requests & responses, affidavits, notices, and correspondence. Maintain and organize case files, both electronic and physical. Assist attorneys with trial preparation, mediation preparation, and hearings. Communicate professionally with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and third parties. Schedule appointments, hearings, mediations, depositions, and court appearances. Prepare and file documents with Texas state courts using electronic filing systems. Review, summarize, and organize financial records, discovery responses, and case-related documents. Monitor deadlines and maintain attorney calendars to ensure timely case progression. Conduct legal and factual research as needed. Assist with client intake and case management throughout the life of each matter. Qualifications Associate degree, paralegal certificate, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred. Minimum of 2 years of paralegal experience, preferably in family law. Knowledge of Texas family law procedures and court filing requirements. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and legal case management software (Clio and Westlaw). Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys and staff. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Texas e-filing systems. Familiarity with family law forms, local court procedures, and mediation processes. Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills are a plus. Pay:
$41,000.00 - $62,000.00 per year
