Overview A Paralegal at our personal injury law firm plays a crucial role in managing and supporting clients who have been involved in an accident. Working under the supervision of an attorney, the Paralegal ensures that each case progresses smoothly from intake to resolution. This position requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively with clients and attorneys.
Assist in the preparation of legal documents, such as demand letters, settlement proposals, and court filings.
Key Responsibilities Client Communication:
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing updates and answering questions throughout the case process. Maintain open and clear communication with clients to ensure they feel supported and informed.Case Management:
Organize and maintain comprehensive case files, including documents, correspondence, and evidence related to each client's case. Schedule appointments, meetings, and court dates as necessary. Monitor the progress of each case and ensure timely completion of tasks to move cases forward efficiently. Coordination withLegal Team:
Work closely with attorneys and legal team to develop case strategies and prepare for negotiations.Assist in the preparation of legal documents, such as demand letters, settlement proposals, and court filings.
Negotiations:
Engage in settlement negotiations with opposing counsel and insurance companies to secure favorable outcomes for clients.Administrative Support:
Maintain accurate and updated records in the firm's case management software. Handle phone calls, emails, and other correspondence related to cases.Qualifications Education :
Completion of an ABA-approved paralegal program. A bachelor's or higher degree in any field, plus one year of experience. National certification (e.g., NALA's CLA/CP or NFPA's PACE), preferred.Experience :
Previous experience in a personal injury law firm is highly desirable.Skills :
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, excellent organizational abilities, and proficiency in using office software and database systems. Proven aptitude for identifying issues and developing effective solutions to keep cases on track.Salary :
