Job Description

Legal Assistant - Eviction Job description Tromberg, Miller, Morris, and Partners, PLLC was founded with a focus on integrity, professionalism and providing the highest quality legal services in the mortgage default industry. We are searching for an Eviction Legal Assistant who can assist the firm's attorneys with eviction matters for Texas. The position is full-time and in-person at our Plano, Texas office. The duties of the position include: Initial file intake and setup; requesting initial fee approval. Preparing the Notice to Vacate and Cash for Keys drafts for attorney review. Responsible for the client communication throughout the course of the eviction and interacts with the local courts, attorneys and local authorities as needed. Filing and serving pleadings and other documents with courts Updating case status in firm's case management system, CaseAware, and client system portals Scheduling court dates and preparing local counsel for attendance Verifying response and appeal status, overseeing process through appeals, as needed Scheduling lockout dates and securing property preservation teams Performing other duties as assigned Desired skills and experience: Experience with CaseAware Experience with drafting pleadings and other legal documents Experience working in client system portals including BKFS/LPS, Tempo, Pyramid and Equator Ability to complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision Ability to communicate clearly and effectively Willingness to assist other team members Willingness to ask questions when needed
Pay:
$20.00 - $24.00 per hour
