Competitive salary, with bonus eligibility Job Summary Dang & Zapata Law is seeking a dependable, proactive, and detail-oriented Legal Assistant / Case Manager to join our Richardson office. This role will support attorneys and clients throughout the personal injury case process, with a strong focus on pre-litigation case management, client communication, medical records, insurance coordination, and file organization. The ideal candidate is bilingual in English and Vietnamese, communicates professionally, stays organized in a busy environment, and can manage multiple cases with limited supervision. This position is eligible for performance-based bonuses. Responsibilities Manage personal injury cases from intake through settlement or transition to litigation. Maintain organized and accurate electronic and physical case files. Communicate regularly with clients in both English and Vietnamese regarding case status, treatment, documentation, and next steps. Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, medical providers, insurance adjusters, claims representatives, and other parties. Request, track, review, and organize medical records, billing records, affidavits, police reports, and other case-related documents. Monitor medical treatment and follow up with clients and providers as needed. Maintain calendars and track important deadlines, appointments, and case milestones. Review case documents and information for accuracy, completeness, and consistency. Prepare correspondence, status updates, settlement-related materials, and other legal documents under attorney supervision. Generate case reports, logs, summaries, and document indexes. Assist attorneys with case preparation, negotiations, and other assigned tasks. Perform general administrative duties, including scheduling, data entry, scanning, filing, and responding to calls and emails. Protect confidential client and firm information at all times. Qualifications Fluency in both English and Vietnamese is required. At least one year of experience as a Legal Assistant, Case Manager, or Paralegal is preferred. Personal injury or pre-litigation experience is strongly preferred. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organization and attention to detail. Ability to prioritize responsibilities and manage multiple active cases. Professional and compassionate approach to client communication. Ability to work independently, follow instructions, and complete assignments on time. Comfortable working in a fast-paced legal environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and general office technology. Experience with legal case management or document management software is preferred. Reliable transportation, punctuality, and consistent attendance. Authorization to work in the United States is required. What We Offer Full-time employment in our Richardson office.
