Job Description

Position Overview LHH is helping premier full-service law firm seek an experienced Probate Legal Secretary to support its Probate Litigation team in The Woodlands. This is a 100% in-office position supporting multiple attorneys in a fast-paced legal environment. The ideal candidate will have recent probate legal secretary experience, strong Texas probate filing knowledge, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision. Compensation & Benefits Highlights Salary ranges from $60,000 - $90,000 DOE Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance Firm pays 100% of employee healthcare premiums PPO health plan Up to $1,500 deductible reimbursement in hardship situations 401(k) with 5% firm contribution (not a match) Long-term disability coverage paid by firm Life insurance provided Paid parking Four weeks PTO (combined vacation/sick) Fifth PTO week added after 5 years of service Key Responsibilities Draft, edit, proofread, and file court documents E-file documents in Texas state and federal courts Manage complex attorney calendars and deadlines Coordinate meetings and attorney schedules Open new matters and run conflict checks Organize and maintain physical and electronic files Enter attorney time and assist with billing support Transcribe dictation Handle client communications professionally Support multiple attorneys simultaneously Maintain accuracy under competing priorities Required Qualifications Minimum 5 years of legal secretary experience Recent probate legal secretary experience required Strong understanding of Texas probate filing procedures Experience supporting probate and estate planning practices Knowledge of state and federal court filing rules Experience with document management systems Strong proofreading, grammar, and writing skills Advanced Microsoft Office skills Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities Ability to manage multiple attorneys and priorities Software Environment NetDocuments Relativity (matter opening) iTimeKeep AI-driven legal technology platform Microsoft Office Suite Firm Highlights Approximately 249 attorneys and 93 paralegals Strong reputation and highly regarded support staff "No Jerks" culture Collaborative and respectful work environment High level of employee autonomy Big-law resources with a mid-sized firm culture Dedicated training team Comprehensive in-person onboarding and training Interview Process HR virtual interview Partner interview (virtual or in-person) Extensive background check If you meet the requirements and have the experience, please apply or contact me at jamie.stone@lhh.com
