Although "paralegal" is the likely working title, the client does not require formal paralegal education or certification. The firm is open to candidates from nontraditional backgrounds when they demonstrate professional maturity, sound judgment, strong business experience, adaptability, and the ability to succeed in a small-firm environment. This is a substantive litigation-support role—not limited to clerical or administrative work. The firm will provide training on its procedures, family law practice, court processes, and document templates. Key Responsibilities

Draft correspondence and letters.

Communicate directly with clients.

Obtain documents and information from clients.

Contact courts and court personnel.

Interact professionally with opposing counsel and their staff.

Draft pleadings and other litigation documents using existing templates and samples.

File pleadings and other documents with the courts.

Assist attorneys throughout the lifecycle of family law matters.

Organize and maintain case documents and client information.

Learn and follow the firm's procedures and applicable court practices.

Progress toward more advanced drafting, potentially including complaints and final orders, with training. Requirements Required Qualifications

At least seven to eight years of total professional work experience.

Demonstrated employment stability and meaningful tenure with prior employers.

Professional maturity, reliability, and consistent attendance.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to communicate effectively with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and attorneys.

Ability to work in a small firm with less formal structure and fewer rigid protocols than a large organization.

Strong organizational skills, follow-through, judgment, and attention to detail.

Willingness and ability to perform substantive paralegal and litigation-support duties.

Must live within a sustainable commuting distance of the office, preferably on the same side of the bridge-tunnel as the firm. #RHLP_DIL Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
