Paralegal / Legal Assistant Remley Law, S.C. located in downtown Neenah, is seeking a full-time, on-site Paralegal or Legal Assistant for our growing firm. Responsibilities:
Perform transcription, draft court pleadings, compose and type routine correspondence, memos, and legal documents for attorney review and revision. Proofread copy for spelling, grammar, and layout and make appropriate changes. Responsible for accuracy and clarity of final work product. Maintain attorney's calendar, schedule conferences, depositions, court appearances, and client consultations. Monitor court appearance dates, pleadings, and filing requirements. E-file documents with state and federal courts and county offices. Administrative duties such as opening and closing files, scanning documents, opening mail and managing their own workload. Maintain confidentiality on all client / attorney communication.
Skills & Qualifications:
At least 5 years law firm experience is required; Family Law is a plus Associate Degree in Paralegal Studies or certification is a plus Proficient in Microsoft Office with a knowledge of document/case management and timekeeping software (Adobe Acrobat Pro and Time Matters is a strong plus, but not required) Meticulous with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment Reliable, we can count on you to be on time, prepared and present Effective communication skills for regular contact with clients and co-workers Confidence and the willingness to handle calls in any situation Initiative taking, independent problem solver; ability to take initiative to use available resources to embrace client and/or attorney needs, and willing to ask questions when necessary Positive attitude, pleasant to be around in the office and when communicating with clients Team player, willing to help others in the office and believes no task is too small or unimportant Honest, ethical and will keep client information confidential Benefits for paralegal/ legal assistant position: On-site, full-time; 8:00am - 4:30pm; Monday - Friday Compensation commensurate with experience Discretionary bonus opportunities Company benefits, including 401k, profit sharing; health insurance and generous paid time off Visit our website www.remleylaw.com to learn more about us.
