Position Summary Reporting to Corporate Counsel, the Contracts Paralegal plays a key role in reviewing, drafting, and negotiating a wide range of contracts across Walbec's operating companies. This position supports business partners by balancing legal risk with practical, business-focused solutions in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Key Responsibilities Review, analyze, and negotiate a high volume of contracts, including subcontracts, service and supply agreements, access and material agreements, and equipment rental agreements Conduct pre-bid and contract risk reviews Draft and revise agreements using standardized templates Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure contracts align with operational needs Conduct legal and regulatory research to support contract interpretation and risk mitigation Assist in maintaining and improving contract templates and processes Qualifications 3-5 years of relevant experience in contract review and drafting Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record Preferred Skills & Attributes Paralegal degree or certificate, or equivalent relevant experience Excellent written and verbal communication skills Sound judgment and practical negotiation skills Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work effectively in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment Proficiency in Microsoft Office and DocuSign Familiarity with AI-powered contract lifecycle management tools is a plus What We Offer Competitive compensation aligned with experience and market conditions Employer-paid medical plan with HRA contribution (eligibility requirements apply) Dental, vision, and life insurance Flexible Spending Account (FSA) Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Company-paid short- and long-term disability Paid parental leave Generous PTO and paid holidays Profit sharing Training and professional development programs Opportunities for career growth across Walbec companies Equal Opportunity Employer Walbec Group is an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action employer.
