Legal Assistant Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Legal Assistant to support our legal team in various administrative and legal tasks. The ideal candidate will assist with litigation processes, prepare legal documents, and communicate effectively with clients. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic legal environment while providing essential support to attorneys and clients alike. Duties Provide comprehensive legal support, including managing case files and preparing documentation for litigation cases. Draft, review, and edit legal documents using Word processing tools to ensure accuracy and professionalism. Utilize Microsoft Office applications to organize data, create reports, and facilitate communication within the team. Assist attorneys with case research, document management, and filing procedures. Communicate with clients to gather information, provide updates, and schedule appointments. Support the litigation process by preparing pleadings, discovery documents, and other legal paperwork. Maintain organized records of case activities and correspondence for easy retrieval and reference. Perform general administrative duties such as scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and handling correspondence. Skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) is essential. Prior experience providing legal support or working within a legal environment is preferred. Knowledge of litigation procedures and processes is highly desirable. Strong word processing skills with attention to detail for drafting legal documents. Excellent communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration. Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy. Organizational skills to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.
