Job Description

The FWS Student Assistant - Parking Compliance supports parking enforcement by operating assigned vehicles and using license place technology to identify vehicles parked out of compliance. Also assisting with motorists, enforcement-related field activities, including vehicle immobilization when required.
Hiring Salary:
$15.00/hour
WORK SCHEDULE / AVAILABILITY
Available to work up to 20 hours per week between 10:00 AM-3:00 PM and 12:00 PM-5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Occasional weekend work may apply.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Primarily outdoor work in varying weather conditions. Requires walking, standing, and driving for extended periods. May involve light physical activity.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FOR APPLICANTS
This position is subject to a Level 1 criminal background check. Candidate must maintain eligibility to operate University vehicles. Please provide FWS/SWS award with resume and cover letter attachment with your application.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be currently enrolled as a student in good standing at the University of South Florida.
Preferred Qualifications:
Graduation date must be at least 1.25 years from date of hire. Valid Florida Driver's License required to operate motorized vehicles. Ability to work independently and follow established procedures. Operate assigned vehicle to identify vehicles parked out of compliance. Perform boot application and removal. May be required to issue simple citations for parking violations. Assist with lot utilization activities, including monitoring parking availability and collecting utilization data. Perform other duties as assigned.
