Seasonal Parking Attendant Iowa State Fair - 4.4 Des Moines, IA Job Details Seasonal 1 day ago Qualifications Visitor query response Two-way radios for driver communication Greeting customers Answering guest questions Parking lot monitoring Golf cart assistance Passenger assistance Security escort duties Traffic control Entry level Full Job Description This position is responsible for monitoring of assigned area/parking post and providing instruction and assistance with parking and or traffic flow. Specific duties include, but are not limited to: Admit fair patrons with proper credentials at parking lots or denoted parking areas and drive through gates and verify valid vehicle permits. Always stand when greeting patrons. Validate and authorize credential of patron for entry into parking area of responsibility. Provide information and instruction to patron as comfortable. If further information necessary, refer to Information booths or Department of Public Safety.
BE COURTEOUS AT ALL TIMES.
Monitor parking lot/area you are assigned to and insure proper parking and pathway. May provide patron transport or escort assistance with golf cart or ISF vehicle. Will adhere to all applicable rules/laws Never leave your post unless relieved by another worker. If observe violation, contact parking supervisor via handheld radio to assist with corrective action.
