Parking Enforcement Officer Apex Parking & Security LLC Boise, ID Job Details Part-time From $16 an hour 19 hours ago Benefits Flexible schedule Qualifications Customer communication Customer service Integrity Driver's License Conflict management Conflict resolution Full Job Description The Parking Enforcement Officer is responsible for ensuring compliance with parking regulations and ordinances within designated areas on private property. This role involves monitoring parking areas, issuing citations, immobilizing vehicles, and offering excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have strong conflict resolution skills and a commitment to upholding local laws.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor parking lots to ensure compliance with private property parking regulations. Issue parking citations fairly and consistently for violations. Assist the public with inquiries regarding parking rules and regulations. Provide professional assistance to motorists in a courteous manner. Prepare detailed and accurate reports documenting incidents, violations, and enforcement actions. Collaborate with law enforcement when necessary to resolve parking-related issues. Conduct regular inspections of parking facilities to identify maintenance needs or safety concerns. Immobilize vehicles and manage collections for booted vehicles as required. Use smartphones to search license plates and document violations. Verify parking permits visually and digitally. Collect payments and release vehicles in potentially hostile environments. Preform other duties and tasks as assigned by management. (10%)
Skills & Qualifications:
Strong conflict management skills to handle disputes calmly and effectively. Proficient in report writing and incident documentation. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Certification/Licensing in parking enforcement/Security or law enforcement is preferred but not required. Knowledge of local traffic laws and parking regulations is beneficial. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must be 18 years or older and authorized to work in the USA. Must pass a background check, drug screen, and have a clean criminal record. Reliable vehicle with valid insurance and a valid driver's license required. Must have an Android/iPhone.
Compensation & Benefits:
Pay:
$16 per hour (potential for peice work & raises based on performance).
Schedule:
Part-time (20-30 hours/week), flexible hours (mornings and/or evenings).

Ideal Candidate Traits:
Previous experience in parking enforcement, security, corrections, or law enforcement is a plus. Ability to handle confrontation and stay calm under pressure. Reliable, hardworking, and self-motivated. Familiarity with the Treasure Valley area is preferred.
