Working Title Temporary Parking Enforcement Officer Job Title Temp Position Type SHRA Temporary Job Category Unspecified FLSA for Position Brief Summary of Work for this Position The Temporary Parking Enforcement Officer performs security, enforcement, and public contact work in support of campus operations. Work includes operating and maintaining parking enforcement equipment, records, and reports, such as smartphones and two-way radios, computers/software, and other technology. Requires the ability to attain a solid knowledge of UNCW's Parking Rules & Regulations, as well as standard safety, security, and license plate recognition parking enforcement practices and associated equipment. Requires the ability to patrol on foot, bicycle, electric vehicle, and/or motor vehicle. Requires the ability to affix and remove an immobilization device weighing up to 21 lbs to a vehicle. Requires simple vehicle maintenance procedures such as checking tires, oil, and gas, and reporting issues to supervisor. Positions maintain confidentiality and discretion while conducting business; they work individually and/or with others, and they adapt to changes and circumstances as a team. Positions may require shift, weekend, and/or event/overtime work, and may work in all types of weather.Position may assist with minor maintenance associated with parking lots and parking decks.
