Job Description

Parking Officer (Admin & Appeals) The Processing Team plays a key role in ensuring that administration, appeals, and Parking Penalty Charge Notices (PCN's) are handled efficiently, accurately, and in line with legislation. Parking Services are looking for a self-motivated and highly customer-focused individual to join our Processing Team within Parking Services. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a friendly, supportive and professional team delivering essential services across Ipswich. Parking Services are responsible for Managing parking provision across council car parks and on-street. Managing and delivering the residents' parking scheme. Enforcing parking restrictions across the town. Recovery of parking fees, and related enforcement activity. The Processing Team plays a key role in ensuring that administration, appeals, and Parking Penalty Charge Notices (PCN's) are handled efficiently, accurately, and in line with legislation What you'll be doing Managing the second stage of the Penalty Charge Notice (PCN) process. Reviewing appeals and preparing written responses. Progressing PCN cases, in line with legislation. Responding to enquiries from customers. Advising customers on parking permits, and processing applications. Administration related to clamping and removal of vehicles. Managing the residents parking permit scheme. Reconciling and reporting income. About you
Essential:
Experience in a customer-focused environment Excellent communication skills Strong IT skills and ability to work across systems
Desirable:
Previous parking or customer service experience You will be required to complete a City & Guilds Level 2 Award (Parking).
