As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns. PM What You'll Do:
Provide customer service to clients, staff, visitors, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a government probation setting. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures. Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, offices, parking areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns. Monitor access points and screen authorized entry as directed by site procedures; assist with visitor management and maintain awareness of activity throughout the location. Document incidents, observations, patrols, and security-related concerns accurately and promptly, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
Minimum Requirements:
Possess at least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience. Possess at least one year of security-related experience. Possess a valid armed guard card or license. A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Customer service experience is preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
