General Summary:
Under the supervision of the Director of Probation Services, performs a variety of probation department functions for the 1st District Court.
Employment Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in criminal justice, psychology, sociology, counseling or closely related area.
Experience:
1 to 3 years of prior experience in criminal justice, counseling, case management or law enforcement or related capacity a plus.
Other Requirements:
Must sign a Monroe County Court Employee model code of conduct. Must become a member of the Michigan Association of District Court Probation Officers (MADCPO) within the first year of employment and renew annually. Obtain & maintain Certified Criminal Justice Professional (CCJP) certification Must take the L.E.I.N certification test & be fingerprinted. Must possess a valid driver's license.
