SALARY:
The salary range for this position is $64,317.50 to $108,810.90 for Schedule A, and $64,317.50 to $101,520.57 for Schedule B. For newly hired individuals, the starting salary will normally be at the minimum of the salary range. For current Judiciary employees, salary upon promotion or advancement will be an increase of 5% of base salary, not to exceed the maximum of the range, or the minimum salary of the band/level, whichever is greater. Judiciary employees hired prior to October 31, 2015, are considered Schedule A. Newly hired individuals, and Judiciary employees hired on or after October 31, 2015, are considered Schedule B. REMOTE WORK
: The Judiciary currently offers a hybrid work schedule, and this position may qualify for up to 2 days of remote work outside of Judiciary buildings. To participate in this program, in addition to installing a multifactor authentication app on your phone or tablet, you will be required to have high speed home internet access.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
The Hudson Vicinage is seeking a self-starter to perform the following duties in the Criminal Division. The selected candidate will perform the following duties under the direction of the Criminal Division manager and other supervisory personnel but not limited to: Review all court orders and calendars daily for 11 Criminal Division Judges plus the CJP Judge to validate data and minimize loss of liberty incidents due to clerical error. Review Jail commitment lists, daily, to ensure all newly committed inmates are properly committed under warrant complaints or active bench warrants. Review the validity of all bench warrants serving as a detainer or "hold". Review all discharge and release orders sent to the jail with an eye towards completeness, accuracy, and timeliness. Serve as the primary liaison to the jail, confirm receipt of all release and discharge orders daily. Collaborate with the Criminal Division court teams and stakeholders, as needed, to identify and resolve issues preventing timely release. Liaise with Hudson County Sheriff's Department on all defendants taken into custody from the courthouse, confirm validity of warrant and facilitate same-day superior court appearances if possible. Identify gaps in process/procedure that drive loss of liberty incidents; communicate findings to Criminal Division Managers. Review all grand jury outcomes (remands, no-bills) for bench warrants and if applicable, release from detention on PTS monitoring. Serve as the Division's loss of liberty subject matter expert; provide regular staff training and refreshers to avoid loss of liberty incidents. Review all automated systems to cross reference data entry with court generated release orders and discharges. Systems include but not limited to Promis Gavel, PCSAM, CCIS, ECS, CCM, JWS, eCourts, Maintain a daily spreadsheet to track statistics related to loss of liberty incidents and incidents that were avoided to inform Division processes/training needs. Participate in team meetings and meetings with Division management as necessary. Compile daily commitment and discharge information for 11 criminal courtrooms into one central location. The above examples of work are to be performed by utilizing Spanish or English, as required, depending on the needs of the individual persons communicated with during the course of official duties. Such examples do not require an individual to interpret or translate any court proceeding or in any other context. Regular and predictable physical presence at the worksite is an essential function of this position.

Residency Law:
In accordance with
N.J.S.A. 52
14-7 (L. 2011, Chapter 70), the "New Jersey First Act," all persons newly hired by the Judiciary within one year must establish, and then maintain, principal residence in the State of New Jersey. Any person may request an exemption from that requirement from the Employee Residency Review Committee in the Department of Labor & Workforce Development on the basis of either hardship or employer critical need.
