Full Job Description Job Description:
The Regional Safety Manager will play a critical role in advancing the company's safety culture by overseeing and implementing safety programs across assigned regions. This role requires strong expertise in safety compliance, the ability to influence and lead teams, and a willingness to travel extensively to support operations. The Regional Safety Manager will ensure alignment with company safety goals while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Job Requirements:
Key Responsibilities Serve as the regional lead for safety programs, reporting directly to the Director of Safety. Monitor, analyze, and report on regional safety performance, identifying trends and areas for improvement. Leverage Samara safety technology platform (and adapt as needed if transitioning to Netradyne). Ensure compliance with all OSHA regulations and other applicable workplace safety standards. Provide guidance on DOT road safety and vehicle safety rules, ensuring drivers and fleet operations remain compliant. Conduct regular site visits, safety audits, and inspections across regional operations. Develop and deliver safety training, including OSHA-related courses, to managers, supervisors, and employees. Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses; develop corrective and preventive actions. Partner with operations leadership to drive accountability and foster a strong safety culture. Act as a trusted advisor, influencing teams at all levels to prioritize safety. Required Qualifications Strong knowledge of Samara platform (or willingness to develop expertise if transitioning to Netradyne). In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations; completion of OSHA 10-hour or 30-hour course strongly preferred. Solid understanding of DOT road safety and vehicle safety regulations. Proven leadership skills with the ability to influence others and drive safety initiatives. Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time across the assigned region. Preferred Qualifications Experience in safety management within transportation, logistics, or related industries. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to coach, mentor, and train employees. Analytical mindset with the ability to identify trends and implement data-driven improvements. Certification such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or equivalent is a plus. Must understand the basics of Process Safety, Road Safety, and Occupational/Industrial Safety.
