Day Shift Project Overview We are seeking an experienced Safety Manager to support a large-scale data center construction project in Montgomery, AL. This role will focus heavily on HVAC installation activities within a fast-paced, high-demand construction environment. The Safety Manager will provide consistent on-site safety leadership, support multiple crews and subcontractors, and help ensure all work is performed in alignment with OSHA standards, project safety expectations, and site-specific compliance requirements. This is an excellent opportunity for a credentialed safety professional with strong construction experience who is comfortable working in a field-driven environment and supporting a critical infrastructure project with long-term potential. Required Certification Candidates must possess at least one of the following certifications: Certified Safety Professional, CSP Associate Safety Professional, ASP Construction Health and Safety Technologist, CHST Occupational Health and Safety Technologist, OHST Graduate or Chartered Member of IOSH Safety Trained Supervisor, Construction, STS-C Ideal Background Strong construction safety management experience Experience supporting large-scale commercial, industrial, mission-critical, or data center projects preferred HVAC, mechanical, or MEP construction safety experience strongly preferred Ability to manage subcontractor safety performance in a high-activity jobsite environment Strong working knowledge of OSHA standards, hazard recognition, incident prevention, and corrective action follow-up Comfortable working extended hours in a field-based role Key Responsibilities Lead site safety operations for HVAC installation and related construction activities Conduct daily field walks, safety audits, inspections, and hazard assessments Ensure compliance with OSHA standards, client requirements, and project-specific safety protocols Monitor subcontractor safety performance and enforce corrective actions as needed Lead or support toolbox talks, safety meetings, and site safety communications Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions, then implement preventive measures Maintain accurate safety documentation, reports, inspection records, and corrective action logs Partner with project leadership to identify risks before they impact schedule, quality, or jobsite safety Reinforce a strong, proactive safety culture across all crews and trades Skills and Knowledge The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of construction safety principles in large-scale building environments, with particular strength in mechanical, HVAC, or MEP work. This role requires someone who can lead from the field, communicate clearly with crews and project leadership, identify hazards quickly, and drive accountability without slowing project momentum.
