Position Overview We are seeking an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to join our team. The EHS Manager will provide leadership and coordination of health, safety, and environmental functions within a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have experience creating initiatives and implementing programs and procedures that drive a culture of safety compliance and environmental excellence, while ensuring the company remains compliant with all governmental and organizational regulations and standards. Job Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to: Manage and maintain current and accurate safety policies, manuals, and procedures to ensure a safe work environment Ensure compliance with applicable federal and state regulations, as well as corporate guidelines and policies Develop effective training programs that meet legal requirements and reinforce a culture of safety Provide formal and informal safety training to employees, supervisors, and managers Manage emergency action plans for employees and facility operations Conduct safety orientation for all new employees and visiting contractors Serve as the safety representative for new equipment installations Lead and facilitate periodic Safety Committee meetings for plant and management staff Perform safety audits throughout the facility for both internal and external requirements Manage workers' compensation claims and coordinate with insurance carriers and brokers Conduct risk assessments across departments and recommend improvements to policies, procedures, and practices Observe employees and provide coaching on unsafe behaviors and conditions Communicate regulatory and permit requirements to plant personnel Maintain inventory of personal protective equipment (PPE) Prepare safety budget recommendations and analyze/report on variances Act as the facility security administrator Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in compliance with safety procedures and equipment operating rules Participate in meetings and cross-functional teams to integrate activities, resolve issues, and stay current on regulatory and policy updates Job Requirements Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related technical discipline 5+ years of EHS experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment Strong leadership, influencing, and decision-making skills Excellent communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders Demonstrated ability to drive performance and process improvements Company Benefits Positive and supportive work environment Competitive compensation Comprehensive benefits package, including: Medical, dental, and vision coverage 401(k) plan Paid time off (PTO) Equal Opportunity Employer Sofidel America is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to the spirit and letter of all federal, state, and local laws and regulations pertaining to equal opportunity.
