Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive
QA & SQF
Practitioner to join our team. This role is responsible for leading and maintaining our food safety and quality programs in compliance with SQF standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations. The
QA & SQF
Practitioner will serve as the primary point of contact for all food safety initiatives, audits, and certifications, ensuring product integrity and supporting operational excellence. Requires strong QA manufacturing experience, HACCP certification, SQF certification preferred, Regulatory knowledge, auditing skills, familiar with food technology and strong communication/computer skills. Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain the SQF Food Safety and Quality Management Systems.
  • Serve as the designated SQF Practitioner, ensuring compliance with SQF Code requirements.
  • Lead preparation, coordination, and follow-up for internal and external audits (regulatory, customer, and third-party).
  • Conduct routine facility inspections, GMP audits, and verification of sanitation and allergen controls.
  • Develop, update, and implement food safety policies, SOPs, and training programs.
  • Investigate and document customer complaints, deviations, and corrective actions.
  • Partner with Production, R&D, and Procurement to ensure quality and food safety throughout the supply chain.
  • Oversee environmental monitoring, Sanitation, HACCP verification, and product testing programs.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to food safety and quality. Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or related field preferred; equivalent experience accepted.
  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience in QA or food safety, preferably in food manufacturing.
  • Certified SQF Practitioner (or ability to become certified within 6 months).
  • Strong knowledge of FDA, USDA, HACCP, GMP, and GFSI standards.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
