Job Description

Site Safety Manager - Life Science Construction Project Local Candidates Preferred Position Summary Renaissance Global Services (RGS) is seeking an experienced Site Safety Manager to provide full-time environmental, health, and safety (EHS) oversight on a major life science construction project. The Site Safety Manager will serve as the on-site safety representative responsible for implementing the project-specific safety program, ensuring regulatory compliance, mentoring project teams, and fostering a proactive safety culture among all contractors and subcontractors. The ideal candidate is a strong field leader with experience supporting pharmaceutical, biotechnology, semiconductor, or other highly regulated construction environments where safety, quality, and schedule are equally critical. Key Responsibilities Lead and administer the project-specific Safety and Health Program. Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, client standards, and company safety policies. Conduct daily site inspections to identify hazards and verify corrective actions. Facilitate daily pre-task planning meetings, toolbox talks, and safety briefings. Review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs), Safe Work Plans (SWPs), and Lift Plans. Verify contractor compliance with permit-required activities including: Hot Work Confined Space Entry Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) Excavation & Trenching Working at Heights Energized Electrical Work Perform incident investigations utilizing Root Cause Analysis (RCA) methodologies and assist in developing corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs). Maintain accurate safety documentation including inspections, observations, audits, incident reports, and corrective action tracking. Conduct new employee safety orientations and ongoing project safety training. Monitor contractor performance and provide coaching to improve safe work practices. Participate in owner, construction management, and subcontractor coordination meetings. Assist project management with risk assessments and planning for high-risk activities. Track and report leading and lagging safety indicators. Support emergency response planning and incident management. Promote a positive safety culture by engaging craft personnel through field observations and coaching. Minimum Qualifications Minimum 5 years of construction safety management experience. Experience supporting life science, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, semiconductor, healthcare, or advanced manufacturing construction projects preferred. OSHA 30-Hour Construction Certification (Required)

(Minimum Required) CHST Certification (Preferred) CSP Certification (Preferred) Current CPR/First Aid Certification (Preferred) Strong understanding of

standards. Experience leading incident investigations and developing corrective action plans. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with project stakeholders. Preferred Experience Pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities Biotechnology laboratories Cleanroom construction CQV (Commissioning, Qualification & Validation) support Owner's Representative experience EPC or Construction Management environments Large capital construction projects ($25M+) Physical Requirements Ability to walk active construction sites for extended periods. Ability to climb ladders and navigate uneven terrain. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE).
