Kratos has an exciting opportunity in Colorado Springs, CO for a Safety Manager who will develop and support the Environmental Health and Safety standards and programs across the division. Support the FM team in the development, implementation, monitoring and continuous improvement of the KSTC Safety Program. Be responsible for Environmental Health and Safety programs, ensuring compliance with Federal, state, and Local regulatory requirements. Monitor environmental compliance issues relating to workplace safety. Perform investigations and root cause analysis and make recommendations for corrective actions. Implement corrective/preventative actions and continuous improvement activities. Develop various reporting systems and provide safety analysis as required. Perform job hazard assessments by participating in processes and procedures and researching industry best practices and regulatory requirements. Participate in site audits, inspections and surveys including the developing and drafting of audit documentation, tracking corrective actions, and monitoring trends in results of audit activities. Modify and implement compliance tracking programs and recordkeeping systems. Develop technical documents including procedures, programs, and guidance documents. Inform personnel regarding procedures and/or status of work orders for the purpose of providing necessary information for making decisions, taking appropriate action and/or complying with health and safety regulations. Respond to emergency situations during work or after hours for the purpose of resolving immediate concerns. Have familiarity with local, state, and federal codes as they apply to life safety equipment. Demonstrate knowledge of EHS risks and impacts of work activities and the benefits of improving performance.

Experience and Skills:

10-15 years industry experience BA/BS Degree in Occupational Safety or related field of study Strong sense of ownership in responsibilities Strong organization skills Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite Vertical thinker Follow up and follow through Process-oriented Training programs Chemical management Process development and implementation Job Hazard Analysis expertise Audits Inspections Report creation Training of less experienced team members Preferred Skills and Experience Flexibility Adaptability to changing requirements Willingness to travel

Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, and skills. Competitive salary based on experience and education

Salary Range:
