Job Description

Job Title:
Safety Manager Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Safety Manager to join our team in South Florida. The Safety Manager will work closely with the general superintendent and regional safety manager, aiming to prevent occupational injuries and illnesses across various high-profile projects valued over $100 million, including high-rise residential, justice, education, mixed-use, and hospitality. Depending on your location, your first project could be in Miami Lakes, Pompano, or Boynton Beach. Responsibilities Review safety protocols at projects to ensure implementation and compliance with company and government/regulated standards. Provide guidance to the project team and project trade partners to ensure environmental, health, and safety guidelines are being followed. Serve as the subject matter expert for the project team regarding safety-related regulatory and legislative matters. Conduct safety orientation training. Conduct and assist with safety and compliance inspections. Lead daily site safety meetings. Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, employee inquiries, complaints, and suggestions. Implement corrective actions and post-incident meetings. Complete and maintain all safety, health, and environmental documents for the project site, including incident reporting, inspection forms, and Total Recordable Incident Rate calculations. Essential Skills Minimum 2 years of construction safety experience. Proficiency in Health & Safety practices within the construction sector. Experience with OSHA regulations and inspections. OSHA 30 certification. Construction Health & Safety Technician (CHST) or Safety Trained Supervisor (STS) certification. Computer proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, and Excel. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organization and planning skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Additional Skills & Qualifications Degree in Safety and Health field is a plus. Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification preferred.
OCIP/CCIP
experience preferred. First Aid/CPR Instructor certification preferred. Experience with Intelex Data Management System preferred. Work Environment This role is based in a construction site job trailer environment, working on large-scale, high-profile projects valued over $100 million. The Safety Manager reports to the Regional Safety Manager with a dotted line to the General Superintendent.
