Full Time Position Summary The Safety Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the company's health, safety, and environmental (HSE) programs to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations. This role works closely with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and employees to promote a culture of safety and minimize workplace incidents on construction sites. Key Responsibilities Safety Program Management Develop, implement, and maintain company-wide safety policies, procedures, and programs. Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and all applicable safety standards. Conduct regular jobsite inspections and safety audits to identify hazards and ensure corrective actions are implemented. Monitor and enforce safety rules, company policies, and project-specific safety requirements. Maintain and update site-specific safety plans and emergency response procedures. Training and Education Develop and conduct safety orientation programs for new employees and subcontractors. Provide ongoing safety training, toolbox talks, and educational programs. Ensure employees receive required certifications and training. Promote employee engagement in safety initiatives and continuous improvement efforts. Incident Management Investigate accidents, injuries, near misses, and property damage incidents. Prepare detailed incident reports and recommend corrective and preventive actions. Track safety metrics and analyze trends to reduce risks and improve performance. Coordinate return-to-work programs and workers' compensation case management when necessary. Experience managing safety programs on commercial, industrial, infrastructure, or heavy civil construction projects preferred. Certifications OSHA 30-Hour Construction Certification required. Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST), or Occupational Health and Safety Technologist (OHST) preferred. First Aid/CPR certification preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Thorough knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety standards. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to conduct effective safety training and presentations. Experience investigating incidents and developing corrective action plans. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and safety management software. Ability to travel between construction sites as required.
