  • Job Description:
  • Schedule Information:
  • Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm Conducts monthly fire extinguisher inspections to ensure functionality.
Schedules yearly maintenance and inspections for fire extinguishers. Organizes and conducts regular fire drills to prepare staff for emergency situations. Provides fire safety training sessions to educate staff on fire prevention and emergency procedures. Ensures compliance with healthcare and safety regulations and standards. Collaborates with various departments to maintain and update emergency preparedness plans. Monitors and maintains emergency equipment, including AEDs and fire alarms. Develops and implements emergency response protocols and procedures. Coordinates with local fire departments and emergency services for joint training and drills. Reviews and updates emergency evacuation routes and plans. Conducts risk assessments to identify potential fire hazards and implement corrective actions. Maintains accurate records of all fire safety and emergency preparedness activities. Other duties as assigned
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Able to communicate in English. [Required]
  • Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with a variety of agencies, organizations, and individuals. [Required]
  • Communication, delegation, coordination, evaluation, assessment and interpersonal skills. [Required]
  • Proficient knowledge of safety, fire protection principals, practices, codes, standards and regulations. [Required]
  • Understanding of Fire Extinguisher Program Management, Administration, reporting and documentation. [Required]
  • Understanding of Elevator Checks and documentation. [Required]
  • Understanding of business occupancy AED's, reporting and documentation [Required]
  • Familiarity with the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and National Integrated Accreditation for Healthcare Organization Standards (NIAHO). [Required]
  • Demonstrate aptitude required to successfully administer fire drills and the fire extinguisher program management. [Required]
  • Working knowledge of survey process by Det Norske Veritas (DNV) that relate to Life Safety and Physical Environment. [Preferred]
  • Education:
  • High School Grad or Equiv ( or GED.) [Preferred]
