EOS is seeking an experienced and highly engaged Safety Assistant Manager (Preferably Bilingual in English/Spanish) to support the development, implementation, and daily management of our environmental, health, safety, and emergency-response programs. This position will play an important role in establishing a strong safety culture within a growing automotive manufacturing operation. The Safety Assistant Manager will work closely with employees, supervisors, department managers, contractors, medical providers, regulatory agencies, and local emergency-response organizations to identify hazards, maintain regulatory compliance, prevent workplace injuries, and support safe plant operations. The position reports to the Human Resources Manager and will lead or support the company's efforts related to OSHA compliance, environmental compliance, workers' compensation, safety training, incident investigations, emergency preparedness, PPE management, industrial hygiene, and ISO 14001 and

ISO 45001

certification. Because EOS is developing and expanding its manufacturing operation, this position will also provide safety oversight during plant construction, equipment installation, facility startup, and the implementation of new manufacturing processes.

Essential Functions:

Develop, implement and maintain

ISO 14001, ISO

45001, and all continuous improvement policies and programs. Ensures that all site health, safety and environmental programs comply with state and federal regulations, including Lock Out/Tag Out, and written programs. Develop and coordinate appropriate training programs for all associates on health, safety and environmental topics, including those required by state and federal agencies. Plans, organizes & conducts regular industrial hygiene, safety and environmental audits to detect existing or potential hazards and regulatory violations and recommend corrective or preventative measures. Regular and frequent interaction with associates in the manufacturing areas. Proactive approach to hazard recognition and prevention. Assist in the investigation of all accidents and ensure that proper reports are filed in a timely manner. Maintain a professional relationship with all medical providers and act as a liaison between them and the Company. Conduct "Root Cause" analysis for accidents, injuries and near misses. Serve as a mentor and technical advisor to all departments to recommend safety devices, personal protective equipment and other means to proactively reduce and/or eliminate the risk of injury Assist HR in workers' compensation case management, return to work programs, and maintain all OSHA required forms, logs, etc. Provided routine daily first aid treatment of work related illnesses and injuries. Coordinate with outside organizations, such as fire departments, emergency management agencies, and law enforcement. Lead development and over-site of safety and emergency response training. Administers and is responsible for oversight of regulatory compliance programs, procedures, and associated with federal, state, and local regulations and Company safety and health policies. Responsible for staying up to date on changes and improvements in the regulations that impact the business and implementing required changes on a timely basis. Conducts regular benchmarking activities for best practices that should be implemented. Creates, maintains, and delivers a meaningful new hire orientation program. Responsible for Georgia Drug Free Workplace program. Responsible for mentoring new team members. Adhere to and administer company policies/procedures pertaining to their job. Actively seeks out areas for improvement and devises/aids in the development of counter measures. Responsible for maintaining and supporting ISO/TS16949 and has the responsibility to contact Team Leads and/or stop processes that could ship a non-conforming products. ISO 45001

; the company's environmental, health, and safety risks of their job, and how their job affects the environment. Responsible for maintaining, auditing, and sourcing all PPE including safety uniforms. Any and all other tasks assigned by management.

• Immediately inform their supervisors of any Environmental, Health & Safety hazards beyond their ability or authority to correct Key & Critical Responsibilities for Plant Construction & Safety Operations Fire Risk & Hazard Control Strictly control and manage fire risks within the facility, particularly preventing unsafe behaviors such as reckless smoking by employees near hazardous materials (paint, adhesives, thinners) and dumpster areas.

County Relations & Early Fire Safety Approval Establish and maintain a close, collaborative relationship with local County authorities during plant construction to ensure strict compliance with all fire codes. Lead efforts to achieve project completion and secure early fire safety approvals. Safety Supervision during Construction & Equipment Installation Manage and supervise all safety elements and potential hazards during the initial phases of plant construction and the installation of manufacturing equipment. PPE & Forklift Operations Management Oversee and enforce the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) by all employees, and strictly supervise safety compliance during forklift and other material handling equipment operations.

Pay:

$80,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
