Position Summary The Safety Manager provides strategic and operational leadership for health and safety across an assigned region. This individual partners with field leadership, project teams, and operational management to ensure safety is integrated into all aspects of project delivery. The role focuses on developing a proactive safety culture, supporting field operations, and helping teams identify and manage risk before incidents occur. Objectives Champion a culture where safety is the highest priority on every project. Support field operations by providing practical safety leadership and guidance. Drive consistency in safety practices, expectations, and accountability across the region. Mentor and develop regional safety professionals to strengthen the overall safety program. Build strong working relationships with operations teams to continuously improve safety performance. Responsibilities Safety Leadership Provide leadership and direction, ensuring consistent expectations and high standards of performance. Mentor, coach, and develop regional safety personnel through regular feedback, training, and professional development. Promote accountability and visible leadership by encouraging active engagement with project teams and field personnel. Project & Field Support Visit active construction sites to conduct inspections, behavioral observations, compliance reviews, and field coaching. Work alongside Project Managers, Superintendents, and Foremen during planning meetings and daily operations to identify hazards, evaluate risks, and implement effective control measures. Provide temporary on-site safety support for high-risk projects, new project mobilizations, or where additional field presence is required. Ensure work is performed in accordance with company standards, OSHA regulations, NFPA 70E requirements, and project-specific client expectations. Safety Programs & Compliance Manage regional safety documentation, reporting processes, and project-specific safety plans. Coordinate and facilitate required safety training, orientation programs, and refresher courses for employees. Monitor compliance with internal safety policies as well as applicable regulatory requirements. Maintain all required certifications and instructor qualifications necessary to support regional training initiatives. Operational Collaboration Share lessons learned, emerging trends, and best practices with regional and corporate leadership to strengthen overall safety performance. Partner with preconstruction and operations teams during project planning to identify potential safety challenges before work begins. Represent the electrical contractor at industry safety events, client meetings, and professional organizations where appropriate. Qualifications 5+ years of progressive experience leading health and safety programs within electrical construction, utilities, industrial construction, or related industries. Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Construction Management, Occupational Safety, or a related discipline. Equivalent industry experience will also be considered. Thorough understanding of OSHA regulations, NFPA 70E, and recognized construction safety standards.

Pay:

$90,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
