+ Supports leadership and daily oversight of the resort's safety, security, and risk management programs + Oversees security operations, patrol activities, and contract security services + Conducts incident investigations and prepares detailed reports and documentation + Coordinates emergency preparedness planning, response procedures, and crisis management efforts + Manages workers' compensation, general liability claims, and litigation support activities + Oversees key control programs and lost & found operations + Monitors and maintains security technology systems, including surveillance and access control + Partners with Human Resources on workplace safety, employee incidents, and policy compliance + Collaborates with department leaders to identify and mitigate operational risks + Coordinates security support and logistics for resort events and special functions + Serves as a liaison with law enforcement agencies, legal counsel, insurance representatives, and vendors + Ensures protection of guests, team members, company assets, and resort property + Leads, coaches, and develops security team members while promoting a culture of safety + Maintains accurate records, investigations, claims documentation, and regulatory compliance + Prioritizes competing responsibilities in a fast-paced, large-scale resort environment + Utilizes strong communication, problem-solving, organizational, and leadership skills to drive operational excellence and guest safety Here's what you'll do during a typical day: +- Support safety and security operations:
- Assist the Director in overseeing all safety and security functions, including ensuring OSHA compliance, promoting safe work practices, and managing department systems, budgets, and policies. +
- Oversee safety training:
- Assist in leading the coordination and administration of safety training programs, including CPR, fire and life safety, workplace violence prevention, and driver training +
- Ensure property safety:
- Assist in directing security patrols of the hotel premises to identify and address safety risks, security threats, and undesirable conditions +
- Support investigations:
- Assist in leading inquiries into accidents, thefts, property loss, and unlawful activities +
- Direct emergency responses:
- Assist in leading responses to emergencies, including fires, medical incidents, and security threats +
- Liaise with law enforcement:
- Act as a key contact for federal, state, and local authorities on security-related matters +
- Inspire and develop the team:
- Recruit, train, supervise, and mentor team members; conduct performance evaluations, provide professional development opportunities, and recognize achievements to build a motivated and high-performing team
