JOB SUMMARY
: The Manager of Safety and Technical Training will implement policies to ensure Royal Hawaiian Movers have a safe and healthy work environment. The incumbent will ensure employees are compliant and trained to perform their job duties in a safe and competent manner. The incumbent will be responsible for developing and enforcing safety policies and procedures; establishing job skill assessments; and identifying safety and training needs within the organization.

$75,000-$90,000 per year
Hours:
Monday to Friday, full-time, exempt
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Plan and implement OSHA policies and programs. Plan and implement training programs. Develop job/technical skill assessments. Review existing training programs and suggest enhancements and modifications to improve engagement, learning, and retention. Ensure training materials and programs are current, accurate, and effective. Maintain a knowledge of new methods and techniques for training, and training requirements applicable to the organization and/or industry. Conduct safety meetings with management and staff. Develop and administer Emergency Preparedness Plan. Review existing policies and procedures. Work with HR to set up a new employee on-boarding process for safety. Train, manage and guide your staff. Prepare and present reports on accidents and violations and determine causes Manage the monthly reporting and KPI's to Sr. Leadership. Oversee claims management processes for injuries and incidents. Oversee workplace repair, installations and any other work that could harm employees' safety. Supervise Training Staff. Other tasks as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS / ABILITIES
Familiarity with conducting workplace investigations. Familiarity with Workers Compensation insurance and statutes. Proficient in MS Office Software & AI tools Outstanding organizational skills. Critical thinker and problem-solving skills. Team player. Good time-management skills. Great interpersonal and communication skills. Valid Hawaii driver's license & ability to meet and maintain company driving standards. Ability to obtain and maintain company sponsored access to military bases (DBIDS). Ability to obtain and maintain company sponsored port access (TWIC). Technical Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Oral and written communication skills. English language skills. Interpersonal relations skills. Customer service and public relations skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the job. Ability to manage multiple tasks with frequent interruptions. Ability to manage multiple priorities. Ability to diffuse and manage volatile and stressful situations. Ability to promote and follow RHM policies and procedures, and Safety and Technical Training department policies and procedures. Ability to communicate, interact and work effectively and cooperatively with people from diverse ethnic and educational backgrounds. Ability to recognize the importance of safety in the workplace, follow safety rules, practice safe work habits, utilize appropriate safety equipment and report unsafe conditions to the appropriate administrator. Operating knowledge of and experience with personal computers and peripherals. Operating knowledge of and experience with typical office equipment, such as telephones, copier, mail, etc.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Experience as a Safety Professional, Trainer, Assessment Specialist, or similar role. Excellent knowledge of potentially hazardous materials or practices. Experience in producing data driven reports. Experience with writing policies and procedures Experience with creating a culture of engagement, collaboration and teamwork High school diploma, completion of G.E.D., or equivalent, bachelor's degree preferred. Criminal background check required for hire. 5+ years' experience in Safety is required
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Physically able to conduct inspections, access and navigate each area of the company. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds as necessary.
