Environmental Health Safety Manager Sparrow Company LLC Des Moines, IA Job Details $130,000 - $150,000 a year 17 hours ago Qualifications Spanish Occupational health expertise English Manufacturing facility Bachelor's degree Manufacturing Manufacturing company experience Full Job Description We are seeking an experienced Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager for one of our clients in the Des Moines, IA area. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with all applicable environmental, health, safety, and regulatory requirements while fostering a culture of safety throughout the organization. Key responsibilities include conducting site audits and inspections, identifying compliance gaps, implementing corrective actions, and partnering with operational teams to ensure timely resolution of safety concerns. The EHS Manager will also oversee compliance with industry standards and government regulations, develop and maintain safety programs, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to protect employees, facilities, and company assets. Responsibilities Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including those set by OSHA and the EPA Conduct safety compliance audits Follow up to make sure the team has corrected any workplace violations Internal policies to support employee health and safety Submit permit applications and renewals Follow regulatory reporting requirements Requirements and Qualifications Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety; master's preferred Prior manufacturing industry experience Knowledge of industry regulations Manufacturing experience in the industry (strongly preferred) Bilingual communication skills (English/Spanish) Organizational skills
