In this role, you will be responsible for directing regulatory adherence and safety initiatives throughout our chemical facility and bulk hazmat logistics networks. Essential qualifications for this position include the following. Hazmat Logistics Safety (FMCSA / PHMSA) Applicants must demonstrate a history of leading safety initiatives specifically for hazmat fleets, rather than general logistics or warehousing.
Your oversight will encompass:
Maintaining comprehensive driver qualification records Administering substance abuse testing protocols Ensuring adherence to HOS regulations Managing DOT evaluations and monitoring
CSA BASIC
metrics Facilitating specialized training to improve driver regulatory compliance Environmental Compliance within the Chemical Sector We require a background in directing safety and environmental protocols within hazardous material facilities or chemical manufacturing and distribution environments.
You should be well-versed in:
Completing SARA Tier II documentation Executing hazard communication initiatives Supporting EPA regulatory evaluations Developing and maintaining SPCC plans Governing protocols for the storage and handling of chemicals Leadership in Regulatory Audits You must show a track record of successfully navigating and preparing for regulatory reviews, such as: DOT compliance audits EPA site evaluations OSHA safety inspections Industry-standard programs like ACD Responsible Distribution Safety Leadership Across Multiple Locations This position requires managing safety and environmental standards across various terminals and states. You should be adept at deploying consistent programs across a multi-site operational footprint. Risk Mitigation and Incident Analysis You will be expected to lower incident rates by utilizing the following methods: Conducting thorough root cause analysis Creating robust safety initiatives Mentoring drivers to foster a culture of accountability Utilizing performance data to drive safety improvements Compensation Annual salary ranging from $75,000 to $95,000, commensurate with your background
