Job Description

Overview:
The Campus Safety Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the safety and security of the staff and students in the high schools.

Director of Campus Safety Employee Status:
Specialized Professional Staff -
Campus Safety Calendar:
184 Teacher Attendance Days, 7:30am - 4:00pm
Qualifications:
Education and experience equivalent to high school graduation
Professional/Personal Characteristics:
Previous experience in an educational setting preferred Previous experience developing and coordinating training programs preferred Excellent organizational skills and time management skills Ability to perform multiple tasks concurrently under varying deadlines Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to identify sensitive information and maintain confidentiality Proficient with Google G-Suite, office and phone equipment Ability to communicate clearly & concisely
Job Responsibilities:
Coordinate security coverage with Director, Assistant Principal, Deans and School Resource Officer. Schedule assignments for campus safety personnel including extra duty assignments for evening and weekend activities. Represent the department at required meetings. Implements school safety and security activities. Assists with the monitoring of student movement and behavior during the school day Assists with the control of disruptive students and teams with appropriate school personnel about student behavior and behavior related issues Escorts and assists students to assigned areas Ensures that school policies and procedures are followed Works with first responders in regard to security and safety Giving professional development training to team members and staff in various areas related to the job
