Job Description

JOB SUMMARY
The Health Services Supervisor oversees the health services department, workers compensation, and staff. The heath services supervisor is responsible for overseeing the occupational health programs and services that promote employee health, safety, well-being, and regulatory compliance along with any required first aid treatment. They are responsible for approaching their work using a continuous improvement mentality and will work to perpetuate a "Creekstone Proud" culture through attitude and actions.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Manages the workers compensation clerk and three first aid technicians and ensures all standardized processes in the health services department are followed. Ensures appropriate documentation is always followed and the staff is functioning with a high attention to detail.

Ensure proper medical attention is followed pending the incident or injury.

Ensures emergency treatment is administered if necessary. Responsible for claim management of all workers compensation claims and always keep the employee and companys best interests in mind. Manages the companys drug and alcohol program and ensures the staff is administering within the parameters.

Ensures personal injuries and illness are not treated, only work-related concernsManages within regulatory complianceWorks with EHS and HR to promote health education, wellness actives, and preventative health programsEnsure health services operate in a professional manner and setting, and hold team members accountable if they are not managing their time effectivelyMust actively be engaged throughout the plant and build positive relationships with managers Works closely with EHS and HR on required incidents and employee investigations Required to present updates to middle and upper management
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Minimum of an associates degree; bachelor's degree is preferred in nursing, occupational health, healthcare administration, or public health. Must be bi-lingual in English and SpanishFive years with occupational, publish or health care required Ergonomics experience preferred Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and health principlesExperience with workers compensation and claim management Experience in developing or working with employee wellness programs Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Excellent listening and problem-solving skills. Ability to maintain high standards of confidentiality.

Must be highly organized and high attention to detail.
