Responsibilities Strategic & Operational Leadership:
Direct local EHS team members and partner with plant leadership to establish, execute, and monitor the facility's strategic EHS Management Plan and key performance indicators (KPIs).Regulatory & Compliance Management:
Oversee full compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (OSHA, EPA, DOT) and internal global standards, serving as the primary liaison for regulatory agency inspections and audits.EHS Culture & Incident Response:
Lead sitewide safety engagement initiatives, incident investigations, root-cause analyses, and emergency preparedness programs to foster a continuous safety culture.Environmental & Sustainability Initiatives:
Manage site waste streams, permitting, and industrial hygiene programs while driving continuous improvement and capital projects focused on energy, water, and waste reduction.Safety Risk Mitigation & Training:
Oversee high-hazard risk controls (e.g., Lockout/Tagout, Machine Guarding, Safe Work Permits) and ensure the execution and tracking of mandatory annual compliance training programs. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Safety, Environmental Management, Industrial Hygiene, or a related technical field. 7+ years of functional EHS experience in a manufacturing environment. 3+ years of direct supervisory experience managing EHS teams or functions. Demonstrated expertise in OSHA, DOT, and EPA regulatory compliance management (air, water, waste, stormwater). Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in Safety, Environmental Management, or Industrial Hygiene. Professional certification in Environmental or Safety practices (e.g., CSP, CIH). Experience in consumer packaged goods (CPG) or food safety/anti-bioterrorism regulatory environments. Strong influence, negotiation, and cross-functional team-building skills. Willingness to travel up to 10%. Compensation and Benefits Salary Range $109,600.00- $155,000.
