In this vital role, you will develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive safety programs that ensure regulatory compliance and foster a culture of safety excellence. Your expertise will help safeguard our employees' health, minimize risks, and promote a safe working environment that aligns with environmental management systems and occupational health standards. Responsibilities Develop, implement, and continuously improve safety policies and procedures in accordance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory standards. Conduct regular safety audits, hazard assessments, and root cause analysis to identify potential risks and prevent incidents. Lead safety training sessions focused on hazard communication, hazardous materials regulations, first aid, CPR, OSHA compliance, and environmental health practices. Ensure compliance with environmental management systems and environmental regulatory requirements related to hazardous materials handling and waste disposal. Manage workers' compensation claims process by ensuring proper documentation, report writing, and adherence to workers' compensation law. Collaborate with management to integrate safety considerations into production processes while maintaining regulatory/legal compliance standards in manufacturing environments. Maintain detailed records of safety inspections, incident reports, training activities, and corrective actions to support continuous improvement efforts. Qualifications Proven experience in workplace safety management within manufacturing or industrial settings. Strong knowledge of OSHA standards, environmental regulations (EPA), hazardous materials regulations, and occupational health practices. Certified in first aid, CPR, and workplace safety training programs; additional certifications in environmental management systems or regulatory compliance are preferred. Demonstrated ability to perform root cause analysis and report writing effectively. Familiarity with workers' compensation law and legal compliance standards related to employee health and safety. Excellent communication skills with the ability to train employees on safety procedures and regulatory requirements. A proactive approach to hazard identification and risk mitigation with a focus on fostering a culture of continuous safety improvement.
