Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Safety Manager to oversee and enhance our safety programs within the organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, promoting a culture of safety, and minimizing workplace hazards. This role is critical in maintaining a safe working environment for all employees in our manufacturing facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop & Implement Safety Programs:
Create and enforce safety policies to minimize occupational hazards. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations such as OSHA standards.
Site Inspections:
Conduct regular inspections of construction sites to identify potential safety risks, ensuring all workers adhere to safety protocols.
Training & Education:
Provide comprehensive safety training to workers, supervisors, and managers, ensuring full understanding and implementation of safety procedures.
Accident Investigation:
Investigate accidents or incidents that occur on-site. Identify root causes and implement corrective measures to prevent future occurrences.
Compliance Monitoring:
Ensure construction activities adhere to safety regulations set by OSHA and other regulatory bodies.
Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of safety-related incidents, inspections, and training sessions. Report findings to management and regulatory agencies as required.
Qualifications:
Education:
Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Health, or a related field is preferred.
Certifications:
OSHA 30-Hour, First Aid/CPR, and other safety-related certifications required.
Experience:
Prior experience in construction safety management with a strong understanding of safety regulations, construction processes, and risk assessment.
Key Skills:
Risk Assessment:
Strong ability to identify potential safety issues and implement effective preventive measures.
Communication:
Excellent communication skills to convey safety protocols and requirements to workers at all levels.
Problem-Solving:
Ability to analyze safety incidents and develop proactive solutions to improve on-site safety practices.
Work Environment:
As a Construction Safety Manager, you will work primarily on construction sites, where you'll be exposed to various hazards. The role may require frequent travel for site inspections and safety-related meetings.
