Job DescriptionThe Site Safety & Health Officer (SSHO) will oversee all safety-related activities on the project, ensuring compliance with USACE requirements, EM 385-1-1 standards, OSHA regulations, and project-specific safety plans. This individual will lead site safety initiatives, conduct inspections, manage documentation, and serve as the primary point of contact for all safety matters on the project.

- 5+ years of experience in a dedicated SSHO, Site Safety, or Construction Safety role
- Experience supporting federal and/or USACE construction projects
- Experience implementing and managing a Site Safety & Health (SOH) Program on projects of similar size and scope
- Documented formal safety training completed within the last 3 years
- Strong working knowledge of EM 385-1-1 and OSHA regulations
- Experience managing safety documentation, reporting, inspections, and compliance processes
- Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with project teams, subcontractors, and government representatives
- Previous experience on healthcare, medical repair, or occupied facility renovation projects
- Experience supporting large-scale federal construction projects
- Additional safety certifications and training related to federal construction
- Experience working in active healthcare or mission-critical environments
