Job duties:
Maintain absolute compliance with OSHA, EPA, state, and local regulations while serving as the primary liaison during regulatory inspections and audits. Design and implement comprehensive EHS policies, procedures, and safety programs to develop and deliver safety training for all employees, contractors, and visitors. Lead formal investigations for accidents and near-misses using root cause analysis and perform job hazard analyses to identify and mitigate workplace risks. Manage environmental stewardship initiatives including permits, waste disposal, and spill prevention while tracking leading and lagging safety indicators like TRIR and DART. Maintain and test emergency response plans and champion behavior-based safety programs to foster excellent employee engagement across the facility.
Requirements include:
Possess a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related field along with 5+ years of EH&S experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Demonstrate a strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations (29 CFR 1910), EPA standards, and state environmental requirements with proven experience managing permits and audits. Exhibit exceptional communication and leadership skills , with preferred professional certifications such as a CSP, CIH, or CHMM. Show familiarity with ISO 14001 or
ISO 45001
management systems and maintain availability for on-site emergency response as required. Maintain the capability to work stationary for long periods of time, perform repetitive tasks, work primarily on-site on an active industrial manufacturing floor , and travel occasionally for training or corporate meetings.
