Job Description

The Safety Manager is responsible for developing and executing health and safety plans in the workplace. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. (Other duties may be assigned): Evaluates practices and procedures to assess risk and ensure adherence to the law. Prepares and schedules training to cover emergency procedures, workplace safety, and other relevant topics. Ensures that material safety data sheets are maintained and readily accessible when needed. Inspects the facility to identify safety, health, and environmental risks. Administer worker's compensation program to include recording, investigating, and reporting workers compensation claims. Maintain
EPA/MPCA
records. Maintain OSHA injury and workers compensation records. Maintain DOT driver files. Supports and conforms to Quality Management System requirements as defined by CEG and
ISO 9001
2015. Supports other CEG facilities as needed.

Education and/or Experience preferred:
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field or equivalent experience preferred. Extensive experience in safety and facilities Experienced user of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Syspro computer programs Strong communications and interpersonal capabilities Exceptional organizational skills, detail oriented, and the ability to handle multiple priorities. Effective verbal and written communication skills Integrity that is above reproach Monday through Friday
