Job Description
Summary of Position:
This position would be responsible for conducting inspections, incident investigation and analysis, safety training, safety audits, safety reporting, and internal communications with regards to safety concerns, and upon request, company representation for OSHA Regulatory citations and appeals.Duties and Responsibilities:
Will assist in the development and implementation of safety programs/safety plans Ensure all construction personnel are properly trained in company safety requirements as well as basic OSHA regulations for construction Advises management regarding regulatory compliance with environmental, safety & health standards Conducts field audits, follow-up safety and hazard inspections of construction work sites Responds to emergency situations Assist in accident/incident investigations Makes recommendations for correcting unsafe conditions and provides necessary safety training Safety training as required by position Paperwork filing and maintenance as needed Conducts inspections to ensure subcontractor compliance with safety requirements Assist the Safety Director in claim management process (WC & GL) with appropriate insurance contactsEssential Education and Qualifications:
Minimum 5+ years field safety experience BS degree in Safety or Health related field desired CUSP safety certification a plus Knowledge of Workers Compensation and General Liability claim processes Able to communicate technical information to field personnel as well as executive management Demonstrated ability to review contactors health and safety plans Can react calmly in emergency situations and work effectively with other people Must be highly motivated, a self-starter and have good verbal and written communication skills Must be available to work some weekends Must be willing to travel nationwide Ability to work with little supervision. Technical efficiency & knowledge ofMicrosoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Salary Range:
80-95K based on relevant experiencePhysical Demands:
