Position Summary Huot Construction & Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced Site Safety and Health Officer to administer safety requirements on federal construction projects. Required Core Qualifications Applicants must meet all the following requirements: Current professional safety certification. At least three years of dedicated construction-safety experience. OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety training completed within the previous five years. Demonstrated ability to administer federal project safety requirements. Working knowledge of OSHA construction standards, including 29 CFR Part 1926. Working knowledge of

requirements. Experience preparing, implementing, or administering Accident Prevention Plans. Experience preparing or reviewing Activity Hazard Analyses. Experience managing safety responsibilities on multi-employer construction sites. Ability to work full-time onsite during active construction. Ability to perform dedicated safety duties without assuming unrelated project responsibilities. Ability to travel throughout Minnesota, Wisconsin, and the Upper Midwest. Valid driver's license. Required Experience In addition to the core qualifications above, applicants must satisfy at least one of the following: At least seven years of construction-industry safety experience. A safety and health degree from an accredited college or university plus at least five years of construction-industry safety experience. A current CSP or CHST certification plus at least five years of construction-industry safety experience. Essential Responsibilities Administer project-specific Accident Prevention Plans. Remain onsite during active construction when required by the applicable contract. Perform frequent and regular safety inspections. Conduct and document formal project safety inspections. Prepare, review, and maintain Activity Hazard Analyses. Verify that hazards and required controls are communicated to affected employees. Verify subcontractor Competent Person qualifications. Maintain SSHO, Competent Person, and Qualified Person documentation. Conduct or coordinate project-specific safety orientations. Conduct or coordinate weekly safety meetings. Coordinate monthly supervisor safety meetings. Maintain safety-training records and inspection documentation. Identify unsafe conditions and enforce immediate corrective action. Exercise stop-work authority for imminent danger or serious hazards. Maintain near-miss, incident, injury, property-damage, and corrective-action records.
