50-60 Hours Per Week | Monday-Friday | 6:00 AM - 4:00 PM Saturdays as Needed Why This Opportunity? Join a General Contractor overseeing all trades on a large-scale construction project in Goldsboro, NC. This long-term opportunity offers the chance to provide site-wide safety leadership across multiple phases of construction, including earthwork, steel erection, concrete operations, crane activities, scaffolding, electrical installation, and general construction operations. This role is ideal for a safety professional who enjoys working across multiple trades while helping drive a strong safety culture from the ground up. Required Qualifications OSHA 30 Certification and Bilingual Spanish/English 5+ years of construction safety management experience in a lead role Experience supporting multiple trades on commercial, industrial, or large-scale construction projects Preferred Qualifications General Contractor safety experience Experience supporting large industrial, manufacturing, or commercial construction projects Experience managing safety across multiple subcontractors and trades CHST, ASP, CSP, SMS, or other BCSP credential What You'll Be Doing Provide site-wide safety leadership across all construction activities Conduct routine site inspections, audits, and risk assessments Monitor contractor compliance with OSHA regulations and project safety requirements Lead incident investigations and corrective action implementation Deliver new hire orientations and ongoing safety training Review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), permits, and pre-task plans Maintain safety documentation, reports, and compliance records Coordinate safety efforts among multiple subcontractors and trades Partner with project management and field supervision to proactively identify and mitigate hazards Support safe work practices during earthwork, concrete, steel erection, crane operations, electrical work, and scaffold activities Promote a positive safety culture across the project Technical Knowledge Candidates should have working knowledge of: OSHA Construction Standards General Contractor Safety Management EarthworkExcavation Safety Steel Erection Operations Concrete Construction Safety CraneRigging Operations Scaffold Safety Electrical Construction Safety Fall ProtectionElevated Work Activities Multi-Trade Construction Coordination Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) Development Incident InvestigationRoot Cause Analysis Contractor Safety Management Construction Risk AssessmentMitigation What Success Looks Like The ideal candidate is a highly visible, field-focused safety professional who can effectively coordinate multiple trades, build strong relationships with project leadership and subcontractors, proactively identify hazards, and support the safe execution of all phases of construction while maintaining production goals.
